The Kahuku Community Center is showing "Ola" (Life), Matthew Nagato's documentary about Hawai`i's health care concerns and community impacts. Some of the members on our School Community Council were able to watch this movie earlier this school year--Mr. Nagato was also present to share more insight and field questions by the audience. A public school on a neighbor island is featured in the movie--this elementary school participates in the Mighty Milers program, a running/walking program similar to our Geckos on the Move program at recess organized by our PTCO and parent volunteers.
If you are available, I recommend that you watch this movie. Please see attachment for more information.
